Lean and Six Sigma Training

Six Sigma is probably the hottest improvement approach around today.  Developed by Motorola, and applied by Boeing, Kodak, Digital and many others – it was the success enjoyed by GE that brought it to full industry attention.  From manufacturing it then moved into the service sector with major verifiable cost savings being achieved, in particular, in financial services.  Later applications have covered all sectors including the public sector.

Below are standard training topics on six-sigma. However we do develop customized training programs based on client’s request, free of charge. If you can’t find training that you are looking or if you need customized training program kindly click here.

Best Practices in Applying Lean Six Sigma

The training aims to introduce the Lean Six Sigma approach, explain its potential, develop realistic options for implementation in your organisation, and provide a platform for delegates to convince Senior Management and commence implementation.

Certificated Master Lean Belt

How much waste is there in your organization?  What can be saved and how?

All organizations have waste.  Some is unavoidable, much is not.  This purpose-designed 10-day programme focuses on the effective practical methodology for waste identification and removal in organisations of all types in the manufacturing, service and public sectors.  Through taught material and project work, the Master Lean Belt programme develops experienced practitioners and champions of Lean operations.

Lean Management for Managers

Lean thinking training incorporates the five key principles of: value recognition, the identification of waste, the achievement of single process flow, pacing by pull signal based on customer demand and the continuous pursuit of perfection to embed gains achieved.

Design for Six Sigma Workshop

This training covers the principles of design for six sigma following the IDOV (identify, design, optimize and validate) framework. It covers the various principles, tools and methodologies related to each phase of the IDOV framework with examples and exercises to develop an understanding of the DFSS approach

Six Sigma Yellow Belt

This training is designed for people who are new to Six Sigma and quality, as well as technology experts, and people who want to improve quality in a team rather than be project leaders.  Typically many delegates come from Management and Supervision.  It introduces the Six Sigma approach, roles and toolkit, and integrates it with the drive for the Lean Organisation.  The DMAIC methodology and project management requirements are developed as well as Process Mapping, Data Capture and Analysis.

Six Sigma Project Champion

Project Champions are crucial to the success of Six Sigma programmes and need detailed understanding of the approach, implementation and their own – and Black and Green Belts’ roles.  This two-day programme briefly reviews the detail of the Six Sigma approach and role requirements, allows Champions to develop an in-depth understanding of their roles and question key areas of concern through role-play exercises, plenary sessions and discussion.

Certificated Six Sigma Black  and Green Belt

Certificated Six Sigma Black and Green Belt programmes are project-based incorporating a delegate work-based project to be undertaken between the four-day training modules. Each training module takes place two to three weeks apart.

Green Belt programme consisting of the three modules or 12 days of training for Green Belt or four modules or 16 days of training for Advanced Green Belt.

Green Belts receive 12 days training and may typically spend 20% of their time on improvement. By taking Modules 4 and 5 at a later date, they may subsequently top up to Black Belt.

Black Belt programme incorporating five modules. Each module consists 4 days training. All together 20 days of training
